10k’s are an awesome race for anyone. They’re more challenging than a 5k and less strenuous that an half marathon. Plus 10k’s are a great steeping stone to longer distance races later.

Everything is bigger in Texas and this race is, too. It’s the largest 10k event you’ll find in Texas this year, and for a good reason! Now it’s 39th year, this race has become a local tradition in Austin, gathering the city together for a strong support system as you run. Challenge yourself with this high-altitude race in beautiful Leadville, CO. The last 3 miles of this races are part of the legendary LT100 Run Course. This race has both paved and dirt roads.
#8 Prospect Park 10k, Brooklyn, NY
Come down to Prospect Park in Brooklyn for this both scenic and urban 10k run. This race is designed to take you on almost two complete loops of Prospect Park. Get up and get going with this beautiful morning 10k.
#9 Bridge to Brews, Portland, OR
This is a great run to help motivate even the least inspired runners. This race ends near one of Portland’s most famous breweries, Windmer Brothers Brewing Company.
