10- 10ks You Must Do in 2016

10k’s are an awesome race for anyone. They’re more challenging than a 5k and less strenuous that an half marathon. Plus 10k’s are a great steeping stone to longer distance races later.

#1 Atlanta Peachtree Road Race, Atlanta, Georgia

Get your numbers early for this 4th of July race. It caps at 60,000 runners and fills up quickly! This urban race began in 1970 and has been a part of Atlanta’s culture ever since. Run through the streets of Atlanta between the sky scrappers and experience the thrill of encouraging crowds along the way.


#2 Traverse City Trail Running Festival, Traverse City, Michigan

Experience the beauty of Northern Michigan in April with this 10k trail race. The course will take runners through the Pere Marquette Forest and onto a variety of single track and two track trails, as well. Let nature inspire you this entire race.


#3 Dana Point Turkey Trot, Orange County California

Run off those Thanksgiving calories before you even eat with this fun turkey trot 10k.
Loop through beautiful Orange County with this fun race and help make a difference in the community as well.


#4 Crescent City Classic 10k, New Orleans, LA

This race has become an Easter weekend tradition for residents of NOLA.Come out and join the community for this beautiful 10k through the streets historical NOLA.


#5 Cooper River Bridge Run, Charleston, SC

Come on down to Charleston for this amazing 10k run! Get your bib number early, though, because this race caps at 40,000. This race is based on the ideals to keep moving and stay active! So sign up today and join this inspiration cause!


#6 Statesman Capitol 10k, Austin, TX

Everything is bigger in Texas and this race is, too. It’s the largest 10k event you’ll find in Texas this year, and for a good reason! Now it’s 39th year, this race has become a local tradition in Austin, gathering the city together for a strong support system as you run. #7 Blueprint for Athletes Leadville 10k Run

Challenge yourself with this high-altitude race in beautiful Leadville, CO. The last 3 miles of this races are part of the legendary LT100 Run Course. This race has both paved and dirt roads.


#8 Prospect Park 10k, Brooklyn, NY

Come down to Prospect Park in Brooklyn for this both scenic and urban 10k run. This race is designed to take you on almost two complete loops of Prospect Park. Get up and get going with this beautiful morning 10k.


#9 Bridge to Brews, Portland, OR

This is a great run to help motivate even the least inspired runners. This race ends near one of Portland’s most famous breweries, Windmer Brothers Brewing Company.
